Decisions on submissions to the Proposed District Plan were publicly notified on 7 December 2023 and appeals were made within 30 working days from the date the notice was served on the Council.
Following the close of the appeal period, there was a 15 day period within which other parties could join an appeal proceeding. This was restricted to those who made a submission on the subject matter of the appeal or who had an interest greater than the general public. The Environment Court extended the time period for parties to join an appeal until 5pm on 25 March 2024 (see Minute dated 23 February 2024 below). These appeals were made to the Environment Court.
